Space Center Houston

The Menil Collection is one of the nation's most important collections of art. Brothers Dominique and John de Menil amassed an eclectic selection of more than 15,000 artworks, proving their dedication and interest in modernism and fine arts in general.

Four major areas are represented in this Houston art collection - Antiquity, Byzantine and Medieval, Tribal, and 20th Century Arts. Most notable are the impressive examples of surrealist art, the most comprehensive collection in the museum, which includes works by Salvador Dali and Pablo Picasso.
